Mpendwa,
The Rotary Year 2021-2022 is now halfway done and on behalf of my board of directors, I wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for your continued patronage. It’s been six months since you bestowed on me the high honor and distinct privilege to serve as your President and I’m just getting warmed up! In the first half of the rotary year, we have carved out the baseline for the future by donating our time and resources to better our community. Pursuant to this, the Rotaract Club of Nairobi Central (RCNC) has surpassed its goals in the last six months.
Through your unwavering commitment and resolute support, we have donated over 1000 USD to the Rotary Foundation, successfully conducted project visits for our towering Signature project “Elimu Magerezani”, augmented our RCNC family by inducting new members, mentored prospective members, and executed both local and international partnerships. Despite a difficult year hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic, the RCNC has indelibly stood the test of time, affirming its position in the annals of history as the premier Rotaract club in Sub-Saharan Africa.
When I look into the next six months, I see a great future enduring the benefit of generations but we must be bold to shape it. To this end, I humbly request your fidelity through the next half year. Let’s not lose sight of the antelope because of a dashing squirrel. We have higher goals to achieve and more lives to positively impact. As people of action, let’s remember that you can serve in any capacity since service to humanity is not about positions but a call to action.
May this festive season bring with it good tidings, prosperity, endless joy, and hearty laughter to you and your loved ones. This Christmas, do good – no matter how big or small, for someone else.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Yours in Service, Ruth Kihoro (Rtr)
2021/2022 President – Rotaract Club of Nairobi Central (RCNC)
